5 years old celebration
"Shichi-go-san" literally means 7, 5,3, is a traditional event in Japan celebrating the growth of children aged 7, 5 and 3.
The 5 years old celebration is mainly for boys. It came from the ritual that boys start to wear the same type of Hakama with adult men.
These kimonos are for boys around 3 ~ 6 years old depending on their height.
七五三の五歳のお祝いは、「袴着の儀」に由来し、主に男児が行います。それまでは着物のみを着用していた男児が男性と同じ袴を着用し始める儀式に由来します。こちらの着物は3歳位から体形により6歳くらいまでの男児に着用いただけます。詳細はご相談ください。
